Beyond the Tides by Liz Johnson
We love a summer reading list that includes a book set somewhere we’d love to visit. In this case, Beyond the Tides is set along the Canadian coastline along the shores of Prince Edward Island. Join Meg as she’s forced to work the family lobster business alongside her high school nemesis, Oliver, for the season and along the way discovers she and Oliver are more similar than she first thought.
The Roads We Follow by Nicole Deese
Is there a better tagline to entice you to read a book than this book’s tagline? A cross-country road trip. A secretive box of journals. An unforgettable summer romance.
The Roads We Follow centers on Raegan Farrow, the youngest daughter of a country music legend, who hears there may be a tell-all being written about her family by an anonymous author right as she’s embarking on a two-week cross-country road trip with her sisters. She makes it her mission to expose the author’s secret identity, but everything quickly becomes more complicated when their hired bus driver, Micah Davenport, is discovered to have secrets of his own.
A Run at Love by Toni Shiloh
Piper McKinney dreams of her horse winning the Kentucky Derby, and with the help of her best friend, horse trainer Tucker Hale, that hope starts to become reality. Then her parents are embroiled in a scandal, and Piper is implicated. She and Tuck will have to survive the onslaught to find their way to the winner’s circle–and each other.
This one is such a sweet romance and definitely one of our top summer fiction picks of this summer!
Born of Gilded Mountains by Amanda Dykes
In 1948, scandal-plagued Hollywood star Mercy Windsor seeks refuge in the Colorado mining town where her childhood pen pal lived. This one’s got it all, mystery, heart, beautiful scenery. We can’t recommend it enough!
Meet Me at the Starlight by Rachel Hauck
In 1987, supermodel Harlow Hayes came to Florida to hide and heal. Instead, she finds a former costar with a bad-boy reputation and his plucky grandmother who runs the local landmark skating rink, the Starlight. The place has a kind of magic, but when it’s threatened with demolition, saving the Starlight might be the second chance everyone needs.
Another book perfect for the beach, Meet Me at the Starlight is set in Florida in the 80s. What a fun blast from the past!
