She's loved dancing for as long as I can remember.

She's loved dancing for as long as I can remember. Ever since she was a young girl. 💃🏼

And yet, what do you say to a child who longs to dance…but whose legs won't hold her up?

I know. It's okay to wonder. I've asked myself that same question more than you might guess.

Why Lord? Why…

And found myself asking again as I took her in for all that medical testing last week. You'd think by now I'd be "used to it," but somehow, seeing her frail frame on those CT scans just about did me in.

After we returned home and I carefully tucked her in bed, I went and found Matt. Closed the door, leaned on his chest, and wept.

He held me close, speaking softly in my ear what he's whispered in hers so many times, "Just think: someday she'll have a new body and how wonderfully she'll dance then!"

My aching mama's heart really needed that reminder. ❤️

Now, friend, maybe your heart needs that reminder too. That we have a Hope that goes far beyond the brokenness we experience here on earth.

And that someday there will be a beautiful place for dancing. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
